About Programs

What's Included & How It Works

What's the difference between the Blueprint, Intensive, and Edge?

The Blueprint is our flagship, most comprehensive program. It includes 6 one-on-one sessions, 4 group sessions, 2 full-length proctored mock ACTs, weekly group coaching calls, the ScoreJump self-paced course, and a 2-point score guarantee. The Intensive is 8 one-on-one sessions with no group component — great for students who want focused, private instruction on their own schedule. The Edge is 4 one-on-one sessions, ideal for students who need a targeted boost in 1–2 specific sections rather than a full-program overhaul. All three include access to weekly group coaching calls and the nGenius Resource Library.

How is nGenius Prep different from Kaplan, Princeton Review, or other big-name companies?

The biggest difference is individual attention. Big-name programs give every student the same generic curriculum regardless of their actual weaknesses. Our expert tutors dive in with your student to identify exactly where they're losing points — then build a custom path to close those specific gaps. Our tutors are trained in the nGenius Prep methodology, not pulled from a generic database. And unlike most programs, we back our results with a 2-point guarantee.

Is the program available in person, online, or both?

Both. One-on-one sessions can be done in person at our Madison, AL location (7771 Hwy 72 W, Suite C) or remotely via Zoom — your choice. Group sessions are held at the Madison location. If you're virtual-only, we can accommodate that for the 1:1 portion. Contact us and we'll make it work for your schedule.

What is the ScoreJump ACT Course and how does it fit in?

ScoreJump is our self-paced online ACT course — available separately or included as part of the Blueprint. It covers all five ACT sections through focused strategy lessons and practice sets. It's designed to reinforce what you learn in your live sessions, not replace them. Blueprint students get access at no extra charge. Standalone access is $147 for 6 months.

About Results

Scores, Guarantees & Expectations

What kind of score improvement can I expect?

Our students average a 3–5 point composite improvement after completing an initial tutoring program. The best result we've seen is +9 points. Many students return for additional tutoring to push beyond that initial gain. Results vary depending on baseline score, starting weaknesses, and student effort.

What is the 2-point score guarantee?

The ACT Blueprint includes a minimum 2-point composite score guarantee. If your student completes all program components — attends every session, does the assigned practice, and takes both mock tests — and doesn't improve by at least 2 points on an official ACT, we'll refund your payment in full. The guarantee applies to the Blueprint program only and requires a verified pre-program baseline score. See our Terms of Service for full details.

How long does it take to see results?

Students typically see results on the test immediately following their program. The number of weeks varies by program — generally plan on 4–8 weeks of prep. Blueprint: 6–7 weeks. Intensive: 6–8 weeks. Edge: less than 4 weeks. One-on-one sessions are typically scheduled once per week, but can be done twice per week if needed.

Can nGenius Prep help a student who has already taken the ACT multiple times?

Yes. If a student has tested before with limited improvement, it often means they've been using the wrong strategy, not that they've hit a ceiling. Our expert tutors will identify exactly what's been holding the score back and give a clear plan to fix it.

What scores benefit most from your programs?

We see students with starting scores across a wide range — roughly 15 to 34. We work with students at all levels and don't try to exclude any particular group. Our tutors will identify where your student has the most upside and build around that.

Logistics

Scheduling & How Sessions Work

How long does the program take to complete?

Blueprint: 6–7 weeks. Intensive: 6–8 weeks. Edge: less than 4 weeks. One-on-one sessions are typically scheduled once per week, but can be done twice per week if needed. We build schedules around your student's existing commitments — school, sports, activities — so it doesn't feel overwhelming.

What is the session format?

One-on-one sessions are 85 minutes each. Group sessions (Blueprint only) are held in person with a maximum of 10 students. Weekly group coaching calls are 85 minutes — students can join or leave at any point. They're open to all program students and are a chance to ask questions, review concepts, and stay motivated.

Can I schedule sessions around my student's school schedule?

Yes. We offer afternoon and evening slots on weekdays, plus weekend availability. When you book a free strategy call, we'll ask about your student's schedule and find a configuration that works. Flexibility is one reason families choose us over programs with fixed cohort schedules.

What happens if we need to reschedule a session?

Life happens. We ask for 24 hours' notice for rescheduling. With that notice, there's no penalty — we'll find a new time that works. Last-minute cancellations (under 24 hours) may count as a used session, but we handle edge cases with common sense. Reach out and we'll work with you.

Payment & Policies

Pricing, Plans & Refunds

What does each program cost?

The ACT Blueprint is $1,597. The ACT Intensive is $1,097. The ACT Edge is $647. The ScoreJump self-paced course is $147 for 6 months of access. Payment plans are available for the Blueprint (2-pay: $849 × 2, or 3-pay: $579 × 3) and Intensive (2-pay: $597 × 2). All pricing is listed on the individual program pages.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. The ACT Blueprint ($1,597) offers a 2-pay split ($849 × 2) and a 3-pay split ($579 × 3). The ACT Intensive ($1,097) offers a 2-pay split ($597 × 2). The ACT Edge does not currently offer a payment plan. All plans are interest-free and processed securely through our checkout.

Is there a refund policy?

We offer a full refund if you cancel within 72 hours of purchase and before any sessions have been delivered. There is no pro-rated refund once sessions have begun. In the event a student starts but needs to stop due to an emergency, we will work with the family — most likely holding those session credits for future use. For the Blueprint program, the 2-point score guarantee supersedes the standard refund policy. See our Terms of Service for full guarantee details.

Does insurance or FSA/HSA cover ACT prep?

Educational tutoring is generally not covered by FSA/HSA accounts under IRS guidelines. Some employers offer dependent care or education assistance programs that may apply — check with your HR department. We can provide an itemized receipt upon request.

Can ACT prep be covered by a 529 plan?

Potentially. Tutoring expenses may be eligible for coverage under a 529 education savings plan. This is not tax advice — we recommend checking with your tax professional to confirm eligibility before making any decisions.

How do I get started?

The easiest way is to book a free strategy call. We'll assess where your student stands, identify the biggest opportunities, and recommend the right program. There's no hard sell — just a clear plan. You can also enroll directly on any program page if you already know which program fits.
